I Remember a Time When No One Jogged in This Neighbourhood is an intimate and impressionistic portrait of Park Extension. Part ethnographic documentary and part film essay, it reveals Montreal’s most densely populated area, shining a light on its residents through a series of contemplative encounters.
The piece also takes a critical look at the neighbourhood’s trajectory and rapid pace of gentrification. What impact will a new university campus the size of 38 football fields have on this urban enclave whose population is made up mostly of immigrants?
